Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do your planters drain?
A: Our planters are made for indoor and outdoor usage so they do not come pre-drilled with drainage holes. Upon request we are able to drill drainage holes free of charge for outdoor planting.

Q: How long will a fiberglass planter last?
A: Fiberglass planters are made from the same high quality materials used to manufacture boats, cars, and other outdoor products. Our products can have a very long lifespan with proper care and maintenance.

Q: How do fiberglass planters hold up in extreme weather conditions? e.g. very hot/cold climates
A: Planters made from fiberglass have a natural resistance to corrosion, UV light, and frost. Our products do not crack from freezing temperatures nor expand/contract from extremely hot temperatures.

Q: Do I need to empty the container in the winter?
A: No, it isn’t necessary to empty the soil from the planter due to fiberglass’ strength and resistance to temperature variances.

Q: Will the color of the fiberglass product fade?
A: No, with proper care and maintenance such as waxing and cleaning the finish will stay beautiful for its entire lifetime.

Q: Can fiberglass scratch?
A: The finish used on our products may scratch, but the planter itself will not. If your planter does scratch is would be similar to a scratch on a boat or automobile. It is not as big of an issue when your plants are potted, but we recommend being very careful when transporting your planters and ensure that they are not mishandled.

Q: How can I repair scratches?
A: The easiest fix to a small scratch on our product is to use a very fine sandpaper to smooth it over. For deeper scratches simply apply a small amount of nail polish of the most similar color and sand until smooth when dried.

Q: Will these planters warp over time?
A: Your planters will not warp as long as they are not misused. Fiberglass planters should only be filled with a lightweight potting soil, not topsoil.
